After almost 30 years in the bicycle industry, I’m not interested in the algorithmic popularity contest or profiting from culture-war issues. Instead of joining the hype cycle, I stick with the basics: Refined and effective design, making the gear with my own hands, and being straightforward with my customers. I’ve been building bikepacking and bicycle gear since 2010, under the JONA, Bedrock Bags, and now Freewheel Mission Gear brands.

Known as Bedrock Bags since 2012, I bought out my business partner in early 2025. Even though the bike industry was in the depths of the most serious bust in decades, I wasn’t ready to let the business go under.
